As a small woman who's been ridiculed my whole life on the other end of the spectrum, (same - more by my fellow women than by men because "real" women have curves so I'm not a real woman), this post made me so sad. So many details of this post hurt my heart — the rude “friends”, the gross doctors, you crying. I hate that your perfect day on the ocean went sideways but I thank you for sharing and I hope you have found the comments here to be as restorative and affirming as I have.

Even though your face is blurred in the pic I think you look happy. You look strong and healthy and your posture seems content and confident.
